Skipper 1 is a single-stage subscale solid motor test rocket that will serve as the sustainer stage for the 2-stage Skipper 2 rocket. This rocket will be manufactured entirely in house and will prove design concepts to be upscaled for the Hokie 0.75 launch vehicle. It utilizes a dual deployment recovery system and will be constructed entirely from composite materials.
