PURPOSE AND HISTORY
Skipper 1 is a single-stage sub scale solid motor test rocket that will serve as the sustainer stage for the 2-stage Skipper 2 rocket. This rocket is manufactured entirely in house and will prove design concepts to be upscaled for the Hokie 0.75 launch vehicle. It utilizes a dual recovery deployment system and will be constructed entirely from composite materials. OLVT is currently working on Skipper 1C, after two successful launches of Skipper 1A and 1B.
