OLVT mandates that all members gain a Tripoli Level 1 high power rocketry certification during their onboarding process. Bulk L1 certifications increase the baseline experience level of the team while facilitating a strong relationship with our local Tripoli New River Valley Prefect. With the addition of an avionics bay, the scratch built kits can readily convert to fly for Level 2 certifications as well.  Members construct the kits individually, go through a proper RSO safety check before flying, and take full responsibility for the success of their build.
